Dear Reach for the Stars Nursing Scholarship Program,

I would love to greet you, the people who stand behind supporting me through my educational journey.

I applied for Reach for the Stars Nursing Scholarship Program because I wanted to try my luck and see if I could be a recipient, and I feel beyond blessed to be chosen to receive this scholarship. It will help my family tremendously to avoid getting into debt as I pursue my career. Your help with covering my scholarship also means that I can provide financial assistance to my family in Ukraine and Russia. Even the simple task of sending money over there gets challenging due to current situation and closure of businesses that assist with money transactions. My heart hurts for so many lives lost during this war. I hope I can witness repair of this broken relationship between both countries.

To honor your belief in me, I promise to work very hard to succeed at completing my bachelor's degree in nursing. I will be very proud to continue to work for The University of Kansas Health System past my graduation. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. I will think of you and send you my prayers for your health, happiness and prosperity. I hope one day I can pay forward the same generosity you showed me. Thank you so much!
