Reach for the Stars Nursing Scholarship Program
Nurse's hands in heart shape.

Thank You!

We cannot thank you enough for your belief in the transformative power of nursing, and for the program's partnership. But there are several individuals who asked to share their thanks with you as well, and their messages will carry even more weight than this impact report alone. Our most recent scholarship recipients wanted to share their thanks in their own words.

The journey from finishing my prerequisites, to taking my TEAS and then applying has been such a rollercoaster because life has its ways of knocking you down sometimes but getting back was the true test for me.

Melanie Melendez Garcia

I want to thank you for choosing me to be one of the recipients for the most recent Reach for the Stars Nursing Scholarships. This program is allowing me to participate in the community college partnership with the University of Kansas, which was out of my price range when I first started researching it since I was paying for school out of pocket. Now I can complete my ADN and BSN at the same time, debt-free.
