Dear Reach for the Stars Nursing Scholarship Program,

My name is Lisa-Marie Uketui and I am a recipient of one of the scholarships provided by the Reach for the Stars Nursing Scholarship Program this year. I want to personally thank you for helping make it possible for me to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse. I was so excited to learn this scholarship was available, and I was even more excited to learn I had been chosen to receive it. Your contribution to my education is so generous and will allow me to continue my studies.

I chose to apply for the scholarship because I knew I would need help affording to go to school. I also did not want to work full-time while going to school as I knew it would become stressful and did not want to feel overwhelmed. With the scholarship, I can work part-time and put more energy into my program.

I can’t wait to learn and grow through this program. I know I will have to opportunity to explore the different areas of nursing. I am excited to see how else I can be of service to my community. When I am done with my program, I plan to go further and advance my degree. I hope to become a Nurse Practitioner. With your help, I know this dream is going become a reality.
