EpicCare Link
Log in to EpicCareEpicCare Link provides easy access to the health system’s Epic electronic medical record system called O2.
With EpicCare Link, you can:
- View real-time progress notes, lab results, discharge instructions, consult notes, imaging reports and more.
- Get notifications regarding outpatient visits, admissions and discharges.
- Enter and view patient referral orders.
How to enroll
Any physician or provider who refers a patient to The University of Kansas Health System can use EpicCare Link. Physicians’ support staff can also gain access to EpicCare Link.
Follow the steps below to enroll in EpicCare Link.
- Choose 2 site administrators for your EpicCare Link access. Site administrators will have additional security and responsibility within EpicCare Link.
- Complete an access agreement for your site.
- Complete the user request form to identify who should have access to EpicCare Link. You may enroll anyone in your office who has a need to access patient records, including physicians, advanced practice providers, clinicians and nonclinical staff.
- Complete access agreement and request form and email them to us.
- When your enrollment is complete, your site administrators will receive a secure email with usernames and passwords for your group.

Technology requirements
EpicCare Link works with the following Internet browsers:
- Apple Safari 14+
- Google Chrome 88+
- Microsoft Edge 88+
- Mozilla Firefox 78+
- iOS 9+
- Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat Reader
For tablets, you must use Apple Safari or Android Chrome browsers.
Additional requirements:
- Please be sure to enable the latest version of Java to display graphs and scanned images.
- EpicCare Link requires a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels.
- A high-speed internet connection ensures optimum performance.
- As of February 2024, EpicCare Link now boasts support for the Linux operating system, provided users are utilizing Google Chrome version 88 or later.
