Updated July 31, 2024 — The University of Kansas Health System has opened a new permanent OB-GYN office and added advanced maternal and fetal care for patients in Olathe and the surrounding communities.
This presence is the result of Olathe Health joining The University of Kansas Health System in January 2023. It means we can provide leading-edge care with a stellar patient experience in a convenient location for patients in the metro area’s southwest region.
"Our goal is to expand what’s already been built on the Olathe Campus,” says Carrie Wieneke, MD, clinical services chief for obstetrics and gynecology. “We’re creating a dedicated Olathe Campus OB-GYN care model that will provide patient-centered care close to home.”
The office has moved from a prior temporary space to its permanent location at:

Services at the Olathe location include obstetrical, gynecologic and wellness care, including:
- Care for gynecological and reproductive concerns
- Comprehensive prenatal, postpartum and pregnancy care
- Labor and delivery services at Olathe Medical Center’s The Birth Place
- Routine gynecologic exams
- Streamlined collaboration with OB-GYN subspecialists
- Surgical procedures at Olathe Medical Center
Services in maternal-fetal medicine include:
- Co-managed care approach with primary OB-GYN
- Consultation services
- Genetic counseling
- Mental health services during pregnancy
- Perinatal ultrasound
The office is now accepting new patients, transfer of care patients and referrals. Our specialists in Olathe are part of The University of Kansas Physicians, the largest multispecialty practice in Kansas and a key component of our academic medical center.
