Shawnee, Kan. — Since 1999, our team at KU MedWest Ambulatory Surgery Center has provided patients with safe, high-quality surgical care. Newsweek has recognized that commitment, naming our surgery center the best in Kansas on its Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers list for 2021.
This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. Newsweek released the list on October 21, 2020.
The Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2021 listing highlights the nation’s top ambulatory surgery centers. The score of each is based on quality of care, performance data and peer recommendations within each state.
The study focused on ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in the 25 states with the highest number of ASCs according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The listing featured ASCs from Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
