Ryan White Program: MO Medicaid Managed Care Change

Kansas City, Kan. – The University of Kansas Health System announced an important change in insurance coverage for some patients covered by MO Medicaid Managed Care and the Ryan White program.

Beginning September 1, 2022, we will no longer accept MO Medicaid Managed Care as coverage for services.

To ensure your continuum of care, we recommend the following:

• Work with your dedicated Ryan White case manager on questions. 
• Review your eligibility to switch your MO Medicaid Managed Care plan to the MO Medicaid Healthnet. 
• Notify our team when coverage changes permit coverage for continuum of care. 
• Or request a transfer of medical records to another organization, if necessary, by contacting our health system Health Information Management team at 913-588-2454 or via fax at 913-588-2495.
