Neuroaudiology at The University of Kansas Health System includes a full range of hearing services for people of all ages including ‘hard to test’ individuals, newborns, those with balance disorders related to concussion/mild traumatic brain injury and tinnitus also known as ringing in the ears. We also evaluate those with sound intolerance, auditory hallucination, auditory processing disorder and dizziness.
Neuroaudiology treatments include traditional and over-the-counter hearing aids, selection and fitting of hearing protective devices and custom swim plugs, sound therapy for tinnitus and hyperacusis, auditory training, selection and fitting of assistive listening technologies and safety / alerting systems and canalith repositioning maneuvers.
